Nikki Rowe and Palmview with be going head-to-head in a battle of RGV teams. These two teams faced off during non-district play back in March. Rowe took the victory 8-2 in that matchup.

This week's three game series between these teams won't start until Friday. Game 2 and Game 3 (if necessary) will be played on Saturday.

The Warriors are preparing for an intense battle in this series knowing they're going up against another one of the best teams in the Valley. 

"Everything we've done has prepared us for this moment, for games like this. Where two valley teams, our neighbors virtually, get to play for this series," said Rowe head baseball coach Michael Segovia. 

"Making playoffs three times out of four years, that's pretty great. We just want to be the best year we can have and make it the farthest we could go," said Rowe senior catcher, Nicholas Hartman. 

First pitch on Friday is set for 7:00 p.m. in Palmview.
