The 5A UIL State Golf Tournament was set to hold its final round on Wednesday in Georgetown.

However, due to lengthy weather and lightning delays, as well as poor course conditions, the final round of the state tournament was canceled.

That means the results from Day 1 of the tournament become the final results, crowning Walnut Grove the state champions.

The two valley schools competing won't medal as a result, with McAllen Memorial finishing in fourth place and Sharyland in sixth.
