Hidalgo County District Attorney Terry Palacios said the man charged in his infant son's death has been found guilty.

Seneca Allen Booker was found guilty of injury to a child and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and was sentenced to 60 years for each count, according to Palacios. He was also facing a capital murder charge but was found not guilty.

Booker was arrested in June 2023 after confessing to killing his 6-month-old son. The baby was found unresponsive at the Dolphin Motel in Donna and was declared dead at Knapp Medical Center.

Preliminary autopsy results showed the baby died from multiple hits to the head.
